Restoration & Repair Needs
Some painting projects require more than standard preparation. When walls or other surfaces have significant damage, simply sanding, patching, and applying a fresh coat of paint may not be enough. Pennridge Painting can address a variety of restoration and repair needs before painting, helping prepare the surface for a proper, long-lasting finish.
Depending on the condition of the property, this may include drywall replacement, major crack repairs, extensive patching, damaged or deteriorated drywall, water-damaged surfaces, peeling or flaking paint, failed previous coatings, and improperly primed surfaces that are causing widespread adhesion problems.
We take the time to determine what is causing the surface failure rather than simply painting over it. Failed paint and loose material may need to be removed, damaged drywall may need to be replaced, cracks may require more extensive repair, and surfaces may need to be properly sealed or primed before new paint is applied. Addressing these issues first helps prevent the new coating from failing along with the old one.
Some repairs may require additional labor or materials and will be identified and discussed during the estimate. If a condition is outside the scope of normal painting and surface restoration, we will let you know and recommend that the appropriate specialty contractor handle the issue.
Please note: Pennridge Painting does not provide mold remediation services. If active mold or suspected mold contamination is present, professional mold remediation should be completed by a qualified remediation company before painting or other cosmetic repairs begin.
